Drew Higgins moved to Husky?

Postby KB112 » Mon Feb 05, 2018 9:38 am

I noticed Drew Higgins was listed as a Husqvarna rider at the Sumter enduro. I never saw anything saying he moved on from Beta.

Serious question....why can't Beta hold onto these riders for more than a season?

Good question. KTM and Husky probably can’t stand to see others on a podium. Wonder if Sherco has the same problems.

What I heard was he couldn't get the suspension working to his liking and was scared to go fast on the Beta because of it.

It is hard to believe they couldn't get the suspension right for him. Maybe it is that the geometry isn't well suited to guys at that level. I heard Jesse Groemm say he couldnt get the front end to stick, but for me (c class enduro and hs racer) I feel its the best handling bike I have tried.

Unfortunately most guys want to buy what the top guys rode, but I learned in roadracing that what worked for the fast guys didnt necessarily work for me.

Jordon Ahsburn flies on his. And he's a super nice kid. Hopefully they do what they can to keep him. It's important to be fast, but to me it's just as important to have a good ambassador for the brand and not some space cadet that's fast. I'm hoping Mike Witowski will do well on his. He's another good guy as well is Alex.

To me it’s like any sport. Players move from team to team in a variety of sports. NBA , NFL and even motorcycle racing. Some stay with one and some jump around.Beta is a small company selling out on what they make but really not making huge volumes of dirt bikes like some other companies. I’m really surprised they have the mony to sponsor as many riders as they do. Racing is expensive.

Cody Barnes is giving the others a run for their money on his Beta. GNCC and NEPG.
