MAV TV (Lucas Oil's captive media arm) picked up the broadcast rights this year, so maybe that has something to do with it.

As far as I know, they didn't even "televise" all the races last year. Only a few were shot and put up on their site and you tube for free streaming and you can watch later as well. Really cool deal and I wish more race series would do the same for free, but I guess they gotta get paid somehow.

I couldn't find anything on the first round being televised which I thought was really weird. If they were going to shoot select races, I figured the opener would definitely be there.
