This just in from BetaUSA (redacted just about as much as the original Orlando FBI report ...)

We plan on introducing the 2017 Enduro models the first of next week so watch for the information. We will release pricing, order forms, race programs and much more.

We will release the details at the same time as our factory in Italy so it may be at a strange time of the night. 2017 will be another exciting year!

Anytime a manufacturer releases new models, I love it. I always feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.

TwoWheels and I are both keeping our fingers crossed for a Beta 200/175/167/150/144 2T. I really think it would hit a soft spot in the market, but realize the the new EU emission regulations are getting very tough to pass with small bore 2T's. There are reports of that's why KTM threw in the towel for their 200. They did bring out a brand new 125/150 engine though. I really don't care much about what size displacement as long as the chassis retains the light and nimble feel of a 125.

It is like Christmas Eve. It's the simple things...

If indeed Beta comes out with a 200rr I will be tempted to talk my youngest son into one. I'm looking for the "right" bike for him as I move him off of his YZ144"X", right now it's looking to be a YZ250f revalved for offroad (avoiding KTMs new suspension). But if . . .

They would sell a ton of them. There seem to be so many guys buying XTs because of the size and trying to make them something they are not, a 200 would be that bike. They could cut down on the big 4strokes too.

There was a little teaser photo showing a radiator shroud with "RR-s" markings. Beta may have decided as well that street legal 4Ts are the smart way to avoid registration and red sticker/green sticker issues.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a small bore 2T ... that's what the TM144 is for after all :D

There is an EICMA wrap up website showing new 2017 bikes and Betas are included.
The page only highlights a few models of each mfg.
The photos were from a distance of the Beta 2 stroke RR and Xtrainers . They showed motors that looked like no carburetors existed. Wires and what appears to be a throttle body.
The fork legs were silver on the Xtrainer and Black on the RR's.
I would post it but I saw it on my phone and lost the link.

Hawkeye-Thanks for finding that. On my phone it didn't look at all like a carb. on my pc it looks like it more likely is a carb. BNG and forks?

Those are old photos from a previous year launch (or else they are using exactly the same locations as previous years for photos). Don't read too much into it - EICMA uses whatever images the manufacturers provide in most cases.
