jetting

Postby Beta Steve » Mon Aug 05, 2013 11:17 am

JD Jetting used my '13 300rr for the beta test bed for his new kit. As far as I know it will come with a new custom machined needle, different pv spring and shim, and instructions. My bike runs excellent. There is some power loss above maybe 4000 feet but it runs just as good as at sea level.

I'm interested in your results Steve. We average 800-7000 feet here on the east slopes.

The sea level to 1000' jetting seems spot on here, just a tweak of the air screw, thats it. Really clean with none of the common jetting issues of the GG and KTM 300s. Milage is good too. I imagine those huge swings in elevation out west give you guys fits though. I had a cast SmartCarb on order, but considering the power the bike makes stock, the fact that I ride in a limited elevation range, and the tight fit of the stock PWK, I cancelled it. JD stuff has always worked excellent in my GGs. I'm curious why he changed the PV spring and how.
