After the dealer replaced my ECU for the oil pump everything has been working fine,
I get the odd small small bubble in the line, but it moves along nicely.

Mine went back again for the same issue. It needed an ECU as well, there was nothing wrong with the pump itself. Fortunately the dealer has been fantastic to work with.

Waiting for my dealer to send out a new pump and ECU. Will let you all know how it goes.

Jebster, you're a legend for that OI guide. Thanks!

Beta are incredibly vague on the oil pump diagnosis:

Test the oil pump by removing the wiring plug and checking the resistance between the 2 terminals, 19.5ohms is the correct value, replace the oil pump if you get a reading greatly different then this.

What's "greatly different"? Mine is reading 18.6.

Don't want to be a smart arse, but just in case you weren't aware when checking resistance always take into account the resistance in your meter's leads (usually around 0.2 - 0.3Ohms). The values stated are usually @ 20⁰C +or- 15%.

i received the my 17 300rr 5 days ago. Upon complete tear down to lock tite and grease everything i found that my oil tank air breather was pinched between the two rear fenders when they come together. To fix this i re routed the line and trimmed a small notch in the lower fender liner to allowing the breather to properly run to the little valve they have with out being pinched. :(

After my first 5 hr ride i found my oil system to be working great ( although i still have my doubts :? ) i will continue to check it regularly. I did however put zip ties on all lines from take to pump and then from pump to intake boot.

Also check your voltage i guess some 300s came with the bad rectifiers so the voltage is abnormally high. voltage should be no higher than 14v.

also check your cdi box if its sealed with black silicone your good if its sealed with green its not the correct cdi box would could be the reason the pump is not functioning correctly.

good luck :)
