All back together but Rekluse is still not working, clutch engages but wont work as a 'Rekluse'.
Had it apart 3 times , rebled clutch and still cant work it out. Have way to much free play at the lever but have no more adjustment ,
Going to strip down again tomorrow and measure thickness of new plates compared to old one.
Anyone have any ideas

If you run out of adjustment (allen bolt on the slave cylinder) then put the washer from the OEM throwout on top of the the Rekluse one.
Is your clutch EXP2 or 3?
Mine is an early 2 and I had to use the extra washer but when I installed an EXP3 it was perfect.

are you guys using Core EXP? or regular EXP clutch? I looked at rekluse website and they only offer Core EXP, which is $900 one. I would love to get cheaper version :)

Still pricey at $116 for a set of frictions.

YAMAHA 450 AND BETA 300 RR HAVE SAME PART NUMBER AT BARNETT. 301-90-10040. Looking for cheaper friction plates, maybe yamaha oem?

That's excellent information, thanks. About £60 for an aftermarket set in the UK (EBC).

Judging by how clean the oil is when I change it, the clutch will last a very long time.

Rekluse makes a clutch plate set for Yamaha that fits the Beta as well. Just ordered a set for $99.

I had the same problems on a 14' 450, I can get the auto clutch to work fine and the fee play is in spec, but pull in the clutch rev the motor and it still locks up and takes off.

I don't have the Rekluse slave, and did try a 20mm shim, and it made no differance, the plates are lifting plenty but it still seems to lock up.

They did send me a new 3.0 drive plate with the new teflon slides and it made no differance.

Hmmmm. They sent me the slave rebuild too, but shimming the pressure plate bearing fixed mine.
