You are welcome!
If you're buying Motion Pro products I want to try to make sure you are happy. Can't always do it but I can always try.
Let me know if you get a new carb top and if the standard cable won't work.

That goes for anyone here with problems or even compliments on our products. I am actually Chris Carter's mechanic and restorer so I'm a bit removed from the day to day business but I'll do whatever I can to help.

Thanks Rick, did call Lectron today and learned a lot. Had an interesting thing happen with the new MP cable, sent you an email explaining.

So what's the final verdict? If running under bar damper, which cable is better 10-3000 (long) or 10-3001 (stock)?

Well I can't speak specifically on the 2T but on my 430 the KTM +2" worked. I actually am running one of our Revolver throttles and made up custom cables but they ended up being the same as the KTM +2.

The only information that I can find on lengths is based on KTM. 10-3001 being KTM stock and 10-3000 being KTM +5.3" or stock for Gas gas. It appears that a stock KTM cable should be longer than a stock Beta given the routing. Which makes me think 10-3001 should work fine.

Does anyone know the actual measured length of these cables and the cable on a 2016 Beta 300 RR?

I would measure the stock cable myself but my bike is still in BYOB land, with a Jan 7th ship week. It's coming to me with the Scotts BRP sub mount and I want to be prepared when I get it.

I can probably get the lengths on the MP cables.

That would be great. Can someone measure their stock 2 stroke cable? Then we can put this thing to rest.

I measured my stock cable and the outer cable is 37 inches and the total inside cable is 42.5 inches.

I have had the stock length (37") MP cable for two seasons. While I like it I'll offer some constructive criticism. The end of the steel ferrule(s) is not finished smooth. You can see this in the pic. The shiny areas of the cable are strands that are worn flat, thin, and about to fail. This is the carb side with a straight pull, the throttle side is worse. While the wire is thicker than stock, if just one strand breaks it's a dangerous, potential stuck throttle situation. The same cable on my buddy's GG did this after less time in use. Rico, if your listening it would be better to bevel that inside edge and or use a plastic insert, that would really one up the product. You could even drop the wire dia down as it means less in a throttle cable.

You welcome, and I only know this can be a problem because it has happened, no speculation.
