I would think Bike would run like crap if there is coolant leak in cylinder..

would spark plug show anything?

how about taking pipe off and checking if there is any coolant in it?

Crack or broken Inner oring will let compression gases in cooling system. More pressure on top of that piston than in the cooling system.

Pulled the head off today and the inner o-ring was bad. Do you think I need to check the water pump and water pump seals?

I wouldn't think so. Put a Oring on it and ride that thing!

Bad in like it was pinched during assy, or it was distorted from heat or just blown out? I'f the later I'd check the head at least on a glass plate, easy enough.

The great thing about O ring head gasket is that it is the weak link in the chain. I have had 2 strokes in my shop that have melted o rings and the head and barrel deck are still straight.
Not saying it's a bad idea to check but I would be surprised to see a problem.

I agree, but there was one bad head that slipped through last year.

Looked like it was distorted from heat to me. So basically your saying check the head on a flat surface to see if it's flat?
