I have checked this morning and yes one fuse is burnt out, other is fine .
Think I'll take horn off all together and see if bike will start on spare fuse. Not sure what you meant re using electrical tape - on horn wire ?
All my previous bikes were kickstart only so electrics are a mystery to me !
Just insulate the one connector from the other. If they touch, they produce a short circuit and a blown fuse.
Or do what GMP suggests but on the standard harness is a lot of work to unwrap the part where the 2 horn wires are spliced (and if electrics are not your thing, I wouldn't suggest it). In that case, the racing harness is the solution (you also get a slimmer and only on-off light switch).
I forgot to mention that in the fuse box, the one fuse is the 'working' one and the other is a spare. I don't remember 'who is who' but if you remove them and look inside, in the one slot you'll see the metallic contact points where in the other you won't.
