Thanks, Ghost

You sure you're not looking at the slave guards? Not the slave cylinders themselves.

There are slave cylinder guards for both the rekluse and none rekluse equipped bikes. Because the rekluse has its own dedicated slave cylinder with its free play adjuster built into it, the guards for these have a cut out in the middle of it to leave access for adjusting the slave cylinder. I already had the EE slave guard prior to my rekluse, so when I installed the rekluse I just drilled a hole in the EE slave guard to give me access to the Allen bolt adjuster on the slave cylinder.

Ignore the missing circlip in the pic, I took this when installing a new counter sprocket.

Thanks NW for taking the time to educate me. Makes sense seeing it now.

I know this is an old thread, but I am wanting to put the Rekluse Radius CX on my 2018 300RR. Can anyone tell me if Rekluse has worked out the slipping issue, or would I still need to install the 2017 clutch to make this work right?

advider; I don't have an answer but Rekluse is good at responding to your questions - I would just give them a call.

I put the CX on my 18 when I bought it summer of 20. Works awesome.

So you didn't have the issues the op was talking about? Also, I see you have the bigger IMS tank. Any issues with that? I bought one years ago for my 2008 Beta 450, but the fitment was terrible! How do like that smart carb?

Mine feels like it locks up pretty good. I have zero complaints in the technical stuff. Friend on a 17 300 RE updated his rekluse to the CX version and he likes it a lot better. (different clutch though)

I put the smart carb on since the friend had it. I was having very poor running off idle and chasing the idle all day, even with the JD jet kit. Still had a little issue after the carb was put on. Found out it was a pipe leak at the cylinder. (previously tried to straighten the pipe and I thought it was sealing) I had wired it where the springs are, the wire broke and all symptoms returned. New pipe on the way home that day, next ride it ran like new. Not sure I really needed the carb, but we ride 2000-6500 ft and in a wide range of temps and it runs perfect everywhere.

IMS tank is great. You have to trim the tank shrouds a bit just above the seat. It took a tiny bit of messing with to get the mounting bolts in.

DR Z, did you notice an improvement in gas mileage with the smart carb? They claim 30% or so. That would be nice! Thanks for all the feedback! Oh, by the way, I was having issues too, with a bent pipe, wouldn't seat right at the cylinder head. Just put a new Gnarly pipe on, and I could immediately feel how it aligned much better! Have not ridden it yet, though with the new pipe.
