Hi folks
Old thread here but can’t find the info I need. My ‘16 300 has 130 hours of singletrack use. The bike has been excellent and I’m wondering when you guys are changing clutches? I can’t find a clutch wear spec anywhere, my “Google fu” must be weak. Can anyone help?
And by the looks of the reviews online, the ProX clutch kit is good value and seems to be good quality as well.
Regards
Garrett

Garrett; I must be easy on clutches as I have never replaced a clutch pack in all of my bikes I have had. It's really difficult to say how often to change them because of varying riding styles. Maybe a google search for recommended wear replacement and not specifically a Beta would give you something to compare to.
I typed in the above and then decided to check the service manual for our two strokes off the BetaUSA website. Page 66 indicates minimum thickness of 2.8mm on the friction disc. Hope that is of help.
This should get you there.

Hi Tom
Thanks very much for that, it’s precisely what I was looking for, and failed to find.

Yamaha plates work fine, replace the judder springs with an extra friction plate and you can actually find neutral at a stop.

"Judder springs" are that the two washers (19) and spring (35) in the exploded view?
