Clutch for 300RR

Is it only Beta clutch plates that fit or is the clutch shared with another manufacture. As Clutch plates from Beta UK are £159.00 :o
Just got new clutch kit for CRF450 inc springs for £56.00

Worth taking one to a KTM dealer and checking against a 300 EXC / XC. Lots of other bits are very similar.

I'll be interested to know if they are the same. Call Edmundson Racing, they should know.

Just spoke to Edmondson Racing and that is the correct price and clutch plates from another bike/manufacture wont fit.
Going to strip clutch down tonight and see whether its friction and steels I need or maybe just steels as used to happen with KTM's

If its just the thickness thats off that can be addressed with spacer washer adjustments under the basket. Been done putting Honda clutches in GGs. How many hours on your clutch? Just curious.

bike has 27 hrs and friction plates are worn, not sure if its due to the Rekluse, but never had this problem with Rekluse on my Berg. Just been reading on another forum that some Beta plates have only been lasting a few hundred miles
So looks like I will be buying Friction plates tomorrow at £15.22 each :(

100 hours on my standard clutch. Must admit that I very rarely slip the clutch and no issues at all so far.

I'm easy on clutches and expect a long life but come on, that price is just stupid. Some "realignment" of pricing is needed here. Clay in the Sherco camp has been doing exactly that, if a part shows a ridiculous price the factory adjusts it to line up with the competition.

OE prices may come down when there gets to be some aftermarket competition, but for now they are the only game in town. And just because there are aftermarket plates available doesn't mean that they'll be better - case in point is friction plates for GasGas, where stock is better than any others offered.

Quite a few OEM prices have come down sharply in the UK since alternatives have become available. Examples are Twin Air filters and wheel seals and spacers.

It leaves a pretty bad taste in the mouth as it's just an admission of having ripped their customers off. Thankfully, I haven't needed to buy many bits so far.
