I recently cracked my inner clutch cover. I ordered all new water pump, exhaust valve, and clutch cover gaskets including the new inner clutch cover. After I installed the new parts I fired up the bike and it started right up but even after I warmed it up for 7-8 minutes it bogged really bad. So I decided to take it for a ride and see what happened. The bike has the bottom end power of a 125 or less. It has no grunt what so ever. When it gets into the powerband it pulls just like it should. I had to dismantle the exhaust valve linkage to take the cover off. I took lots of pictures and installed what I thought was the same way. I played with the exhaust valve adjustment screw and it didn't even seem like it was making a difference. So now I have to dismantle the engine again. Any ideas what to look for? any tips on putting it together?

I found the problem last night. the spring that goes on the back of the powervalve adjustment screw had missed the shaft of the linkage. instead it was wedged above the linkage arm preventing it from opening.
