I still haven't used the tank of fuel with oil added, just got too much on but a couple of notes:
While it does stall with a/s wound all the way in, it takes maybe 20 seconds to do so.
Its feeling less fluffy off idle, but on decel it runs on a little more than before the re build.
Jetting is currently:
NECJ #2 from top, 162 main, 38 pilot and A/S 1.5 out.
The only change I have made since rebuild was going from #3 to #2 on the needle, when we pulled the bike down the plug was black and wet and had oily gunk on it. I was surprised it ran so well

When are you switching from the NECJ to NECW?

You can also just turn your air screw in to 1-1/4 or 1 turn out to help with hanging idle until the tank is done. I am more curious about your current jetting scheme, and if you are trying to follow the jetting chart. The 2019 online owners manual has one in it.

If you are only riding at sea level between 60-90 degF then I usually make the needle swap around 80-85degF outside

After the initial run in, I went with that jetting combo as it was used by many on the Dirtbike World forums. Its been great up till the top end change, Its been that long since running in the 1st piston maybe I have forgotten how it felt when brand new. Ill do some more tinkering this weekend, and drop the needle back to #3 and run on straight fuel

Replaced the spark plug that came with the top end kit, and just like that the bike is back to its best.
Side by side it was obvious the plug had been dropped, quite possibly by me..
Thanks for the help fella's, glad to put this topic to bed!
