Common fixes 2018 300rr

Postby Shoe1757 » Wed Apr 17, 2019 5:19 am

Hello everyone, I'm the new owner of an 18' 300rr. I was wondering if there is a sticky post anywhere with a list of common problems and preventative measures. I have already went through and attempted to zip tie the wires better and put dielectric grease in connections.

What other problems have you guys had with your 250/300rr? Maybe if we get a list of some common things and their remedies, we could leave it so new owners can browse.

Yea the side stand bolt gets loose for sure.

I went and read the manual yesterday afternoon again after not looking for a very long time. I printed up one from the betausa support section and put it in a big binder with notes on settings and mods added along with receipts etc. The maintenance schedule was what caught my eye the most. I’d say something simple is to read that and issues wont occur much if just doing maintenance according to the manual. . I did find it interesting that the manual recommendation is to not touch the powervalve setting. That’s weird.I think everyone adjust that a little at least . My pv setting isn’t far from stock but I sometimes move it a little but it’s rare enough. But yea.. read the manual is a simple basic preventive action. Id say a bunch of people don’t follow maintenance schedule as good as prescribed and it’s obvious just being in the manual and free.
