Silencer help

Postby ericridebike » Sun May 19, 2019 8:30 am

Hi, new owner of a ‘19 300RR and looking for a silencer with spark arrestor. Looks like the only real options are the Pro Circuit Type 296 or the FMF Turbinecore 2.1. Any recommendations for one over the other? Curious which one is longer? Thanks in advanced for any recommendations.

I have the 296 on the way. Was told it’s shorter, and louder

I have a FMF Q-Stealth on my 2018. FMF says;

-Quiet on the trail as well as on the sound meter

-No power loss

-More packing volume-longer time between repacks

-USFS approved spark arrestor

-AMA and FIM enduro legal

Forgot to mention:

The Pro Circuit silencers might be only for the Pro-Circuit pipes. I got a pro circuit pipe and it wouldn't line up with my FMF silencer

I'm also using the FMF Q-Stealth. Works fine, easy installation.

I have the FMF as well. Really, it looks just like the stock unit with the exception that it has the SA in it. Can't say that I can feel any significant power delivery difference.

Not seeing the Q-stealth available anywhere, just the Turbinecore 2.1.

Hmm yeah they are not showing up on RMATV! Also looked on Canadian online seller (Fortnine) and they are showing out of stock there. I guess Turbine Core is the way to go.

I ended up picking up an FMF Turbine core 2.1 today. Looks good and hope to take it out tomorrow and see how it does.
