first oil change, is this normal?

HI All,
did first oil change at about 4 hours on hour meter. Oil plug has lot of metal shavings.. is this normal amount?

I wouldn't get excited about it, especially on the first oil change. There is always going to be something on that thing. I worry when there are chunks on it.

Looks like mine did a few days ago at the 3 hr. mark. No worries, unless it keeps showing up like that on subsequent oil changes.

Mine was the same, i was a bit concerned but 2 more changes and it is clear.

Thats not bad for the first change, typical of any bike. Mine was pretty clean and now very clean, thought that was even more strange.

little more than mine had a few hours in, but agree i wouldn't sweat it.
my fun surprise at the first oil change was dropping ~1700ml of oil !

Looks like Luigi at the factory filled that one twice!

Little wine at lunch time and it's easy to lose track of those pesky oil cans

Or Lenny - the dealers fill the oil, as the factory drains them after run-in.
