Make sure your oil injection tubes are secured!

The clear plastic tube running from the airbox to the carb can pop off - it's happened to half the Betas in our riding group but thankfully we spotted the oil leaks before any engines seized.

Also we did hear on the forums where the factory installed this tube so that it was near the exhaust pipe and melted through, but the owner spotted it in time.

Simply clamp or zip tie these into place. Unfortunately the factory does not do this. Some dealers are aware of the issue and will do this in pre-delivery but it always pays to double check.

Also on one of our bikes we noticed the black rubber hose in the airbox running to the oil pump perished and cracked open when the bike was only one year old. Again thankfully we spotted this before the engine seized. A USA rider informs us that Beta advised dealers about this rubber perishing quickly and it was being replaced both within and outside of warranty free of charge. Hopefully it's been sorted for the 2020 models.
