Removing my thermostat was the first thing I did to see if it would help but it hasn’t.

I assembled a Spal brand fan from clues left in this thread. Got power from stator - no reason to connect to battery. Installed on KTM 300 not Beta - my Beta very rarely gets super hot enough to steam.

If you are in the Seattle area then your water does not have minerals in it. I drain the coolant and then let a garden hose flush out the radiators for five minutes. No scale buildup because the water is freshwater from rain/snow.

I use distilled water anyway.
I have an older house that still has some galvanized pipes (working on replacing)- so it can pick up rust and gunk from that.

Yes. You should always use water from a purchased bottle. Use that water in your acid type batteries also.
