I have read in other post that it does benefit. That it adds some of that bottom end grunt that the Xtrainer has. I have purchased one for my 2020 300 RE, but haven't tried it yet, because its still snowing here.

yes, i ran one on my 250 for a few years. not a huge change, but low end on that bike was insane with 13/50 gearing, XT PV spacer, quad-flow torque wing and the S3 head. very nice combo for me. total tractor.

i tested with the PV spacer on and off one afternoon and definitely preferred the low end feel with it on.

no jetting changes needed. for reference, i ran the JD kit with leaner needle from 0-2,200ft Apr - Nov.

I took the spacer off of my Xtrainer 300 to pick up some more power in mid-RPM. I didn't notice much difference in low end after removing it.

Best thing I ever did to the bike to pick up low end power was bolt on a Gnarly pipe. That made a huge improvement that was immediately noticeable. So much so that felt obliged to wind my PV adjuster back in a couple of turns to tame it down while picking my way through steep uphill gnarly stuff.

Interested to see if it does much for the 300re. as I'd like to install it on mine if it does. I've heard it mimics increasing pipe volume but the 300s already have a large torque pipe so it makes less of a difference. If you have a rev pipe supposedly it will make it torquier down low, more like a gnarly, then still rev up top.

How much does beta charge for the spacer gasket and bolts?
Thx

It must do something because I was watching a video of the 2020, 250 RE (in Italian), today and the power valve spacer is on that bike from the factory. :?:
