Ha ha, thanks. I didn't mean to pick at nits, but when I read your post I interpreted "overly rich" as "jetted too rich", which might prompt someone to try to cure pipe-bang by adjusting jetting leaner.

Bang is stacked with variables too nit picky for this thread. My only point was to note the difference in sound between bang and the knock I heard on my bike, which sounds a lot like what he is describing, and has two opposing solutions.
