injection oil: motul 710 vs 800?

I see in the user's manual, that Motul 710 is recommended for 2T bikes with oil injection and 800 for those without. What happens if you fill the oil injection tank with 800? Will that cause problems?

Motul 800 is for pre-mix, not injection.

https://www.motul.com/gb/en/products/80 ... e-off-road

Drain and flush it with some fuel (don't forget the oil line).

Replace with 710 or equivalent (Motorex Crosspower / Putoline MX7 for example).

This would be more of an issue at low temps, but 710 is the proper oil to use for the injector system (it's designed to flow easily in the little tubes).

My mate always ran 800 in his injection system.

You will be fine, just buy 710 the next time or a different brand that is not as heavy.

I ran 710 for about 100 hrs, no problems. Then I ran 800 for the next 300 hours and guess what?!? No problems......
Personally I felt 710 made more spooge than 800 but I didn't really do anything scientific to prove it. Probably more important is to watch the short elbow pipe that connects the oil tank and pump. It will eventually form a hole in the elbow, just change it out every couple years or so.

Reviving this thread, as I read that Motul changed the 710 from 190 Flashpoint to 308. Should I be changing oil for my 21 200rr injected?
