Did you verify the MP cable you are using is 37" or are you just saying you used the "stock" length 10-3001 version. The one that MP calls stock (10-3001) is only stock length for a KTM, We haven't confirmed that KTM and Beta use the same length cable. I doubt that they do given the routing. My guess is the Beta is shorter. So 10-3001 could be longer than stock on Beta making the 10-3000 excessively long for a behind the bar application.

I can probably get the lengths on the MP cables.

Were you able to get a measurement for the MP cables? That's the missing piece.

Thanks for info guys. We have some hard numbers now. It appears that a few folks are using stock length cable behind the bars with risers and submount dampers and flex bars with good results. If you prefer in front of the bars you should consider the longer cable.

To recap for future searchers.

Beta stock throttle cable measures 37" (Thanks @DaddyTJ)
Motion Pro T3 10-3001 measures 37" (Thanks @GMP)
Motion Pro T3 10-3000 is listed on MP website as 5.3" longer so 37" + 5.3" = 42.3"

I have mine routed through the double cross brace of my Flexxbars, and through a cable guide on my damper tower. Routed under tank along right side of frame (stock routing). Its fine. I have low Flexxbars and an over bar mount Scotts. The only small issue is the cable is stiff so bending it slightly to get the slide out of the carb is more difficult, but not impossible.

I was running through Ash tree tops to get around windfall and snagged some trash. Thanks, Emerald Ash Borer. No warranty claim here. Replaced it with a new Motion Pro T3 immediately!

According to the Motion Pro website they only list two part numbers for 2 stroke T3 throttle cables.

They can make whatever you want though.

T-3 Cables
Clutch$75
Hot Start $60
Throttle (pull only)$55
NOTE: Pricing for +/- custom builds of existing part numbers only-all other requests will require further verification of build ability for model in question

Would a longer throttle cable be required if running a BRP/Scotts sub-mount kit?
(I think it raises bar position by 2")
