2017RR390 VS 2018 RR 390

Postby Darione » Mon Mar 12, 2018 3:22 pm

Hello,
From who had rode both bikes, can I have your
Impression?
The double injector make really difference in terms of torque and power
I'm thinking to sell my rr 17 and buy a 18.
Thankyou

The twin injector bike is better it spools up faster, the clutch works better it does make a little noise under load, the frame changes are great the bike feels sharper and more planted. I'm very happy I upgraded from my 2016 350rr to the 18. The 390 ridden back to back feels the same improved. I think its a no brainer, the changes from 16-17 not so.

Marty, thankyou for your opinion,
So, you had upgrade your bike my 16 or you had bought a new bike my 18?

I'm struggling to change the bike because the bike have 1 1/2 year with 56h.

MM, what is your opinion of the 350 vs the 390? Everyone says the 390 lugs better but can’t imagine a 350 really lacking in low end power compared to a 300 2T. I’m just curious why you think most disregard the 350. Thanks

I prefer the 350 it revs better and I think its smoother. The 350 has ample bottom end it really pulls well off the bottom. I don't know why people disregard the 350 I guess as a trail bike the 390 is easier to ride as a racer the 350 has plenty for me. I'm sure I could get used to the 390 though! b
But seat of the pants I love the 350.

There’s no comparison as a 300rr has way more low end than a 350 rr. Especially off idle. 350 is a great bike . I think A 350’s biggest competition is that the whole line is easy to ride. So a 430 or open Beta is easy to ride too. If a big bore or 430 is easy to ride what’s the better benefit of a 350? It spools up better and is great if guys just don’t want as much power . It’s always just preference . I like my 350 but all things being equal for the 4 stroke line Id rather a 430.. but thats me. Id probably ride the newest line of Beta and change my mind again. I like my old 525 rs big bore enduro too. Some guys just don’t prefer big bore enduro bikes too. Betamakes some great big bores too.
