2016 350rr Low fuel level light

Postby NJZoltan » Sun Dec 27, 2015 10:58 pm

I bought my 350 two months ago. On my 3 ride, the low fuel light stayed on. I took it apart and noticed the float isn't working right. I should be covered under warranty but I don't want to leave it at the shop for weeks and lose ride time. Anyone know if Beta will sell me or warranty the part? Does anyone know where I can buy it? www.betausa.com doesn't list out all the parts.. thoughts?

You will need to get the warranty sent in by your dealer, once it is approved, Beta will send the part, take the bike to the dealer then to get it taken care of.
Beta USA takes care of warranty claims pretty fast.

They actually use a float?
Most late model bikes have a wire coil that senses temperature. At least as far as I know that's what manufacturers are going to. You'd think it would be more reliable than a float and rheostat but the one in my HMS took a dump and the one in my Bimota is very finicky.
Get a translucent tank and you'll know for sure where the fuel level is.

I'm getting a 3 gallon IMS tank. I did call the dealer. I have to take it in for them to order the part. I'll see if they can diag the problem while I wait. I hate to leave it at the dealership and not having a bike to ride. I still love the bike!
