Thanks!

I rode a 390 back to back with my 350 yesterday...... Wow the engine characteristics are different. The 350 revs and the 390 does too, but never needs too. The torque off the bottom is impressive. With a 13/49 on the 390 and 13/50 on the 350 the 390 still felt much stronger off the bottom. In tighter flowing trail I like the 350 more, bit if its a little more open the acceleration of the 390 would be intoxicating.

Both are great!

in tight single track I put the 390 in the 'rainy' ignition map and the engine becomes pretty tame and easy at lower throttle settings. When you can keep it a 'gear high' and it's flowing it's amazing in this condition.

I am not racing, just trail riding. I am running 13/50. I think 13/48 or 13/49 would cover just about everything, it would allow you to not change gears as much and still be able to ride tight technical trails. When I ride faster trails I wish it was geared taller, but 13/50 allows me to use all my gears. I'm used to changing gears a lot coming from a KTM 200 xc-w.

This, in the Hot map on tight trails, its a handful.
