2018 390 RE exhaust removal

So I'm putting all my do-dads and gadgets on the new bike. I go to take the exhaust off and it doesn't clear the shock. Am I doing something wrong? If you have to take the shock off to remove the can that is some shitty engineering.

I don't recall having to do so on the 2016 ... you may have to swing the subframe up out of the way though.

Ya I had the subframe up. It’s gonna be even tighter with my Showa shock as well.
