430 Oil leak

Postby darkstar1269 » Wed Mar 20, 2019 6:49 pm

Since ride one I have had this small leak in front of the motor. Not 100% sure where it is coming from, though I am leaning towards the torx screw that is just out of this picture (on the top). The vent tube that runs down the font of the bike is dry and I cannot imagine another place this is coming from.

Thoughts? Recommendations on fixing? It is new (under warranty), so I could just go to a dealer, but thought I would run it by you guys first.

I think you should take a picture of what you think is leaking so we can see what you are talking about.

As I mentioned on the other site, take it to your dealer as there were a batch of cases milled incorrectly and Beta is taking care of the issue.

Hopefully it's just something minor. But, I'd press them on the incorrect milling. Beta replaced a buddies 390 motor with leak due to this reason.

Still should just take a picture on the bike where the oil is coming from. But no matter what the deal should deal with this or be informed.

I can guarantee you that if it were an orange bike the purchaser would be waiting for 6 weeks while the factory shipped new cases to the dealer and the shop tore down the bike to swap cases
