My gear oil came out a green milkshake a few weeks ago. My coolant, normally easily seen in the radiator, could not be seen. All this means water pump seal.
I had ordered the water pump rebuild kit but got the Boano oversized water pump kit instead. It was sort of a blessing in disguise as I had installed the new water pump seal, the bushing, washers, impeller, spacer, gaskets and longer bolts and it is all working very well. The coolant level is not moving, the bike runs a lot cooler in the warmer weather and my shifting is back the way it should be. Before the bike was creeping badly and the gearbox was very notchy on account of contaminated transmission fluid from the coolant.
I have right around 4,600 miles and 250 hours so it was time for the water pump seal to be replaced as some have had to replace them a lot sooner.
