X-Trainer Reed Spacer

Postby thebob_za » Mon Nov 21, 2016 10:28 am

Hi All

I have heard that adding the reed spacer from the X-Trainer gives the 250RR a nice boost in low end torque. So I hit up the Beta parts diagrams and found that the spacers on the reed blocks for the X-Trainer are the same. Just wondering if I missed something and if someone on the forum has done the mod and can share the knowledge

FWIW - I recently installed the "oil injection removal kit" on my Xtrainer. The kit included a new intake manifold (with no injection port) and two new gaskets (identical to stock gaskets) along with this explanation: "There are two intake manifold gaskets as the Xtrainer and 250 RR use a spacer plate that requires two gaskets. 300RR’s only use one gasket."

Thanks for the info, but I think I cracked it. The X-Trainer has a spacer on the left side power valve cover. This is what was being described in what I read. Part number 036.11.007.20.00. Needs the gaskets as well, part number 026.11.005.00.00 :D

Dont forget to order 4 X bolts as well as when adding spacer the stock bolts are too short.

curious what you think of this mod once in place. i tested it earlier this season and felt like the power got softer (?) took it off. i was also tweaking the PV screw setting so i'd like to try it again one day.
