Is this the Oil tank, pump, Oil line, and vent hose?

Have put that on hold for the moment and just upgraded the suspension to the Fox Podium and Sachs CC forks (Thanks Steve for the Forks) thus all the suspension porn I have been sending you.

The main reason I have put this on hold is to see how all this talk of FI on 2 strokes plays out. With KTM race testing it and new EU regulations coming into play it looks like it could be as soon as the 2018 models. I suppose Beta would follow suit.

You're most welcome - looking forward to a ride report.

It seems like Beta was able to meet Euro 4 emission standards with the oil injection, and others like TM and Sherco are using electronic powervalves to get close. The TM importer said that TM has had working efi since 2005 (!!!), but if it's required for emission compliance expect it to be locked down ... not unlike the silly security-Torx headbolt on the 2017 Betas, only electronically.

Yes. The short metal pipe in the end of the oil line is actually part of the OI intake manifold just downstream from the carburetor. Whomever removed the OI system chose to pull the port out and plug the hole, rather replace the intake manifold with one that doesn't have the port. There's nothing wrong with that from his perspective, but it does make it a bit more challenging to retrofit the system onto another bike that has a standard intake manifold without the port.

If you have the tank shouldn't one be able to buy the OI intake manifold/with port and just connect the the oil pump line. Is the oil pump line permanently attached to the Oil injection intake nipple or just plugged in? It seems easier and more flexible to just buy the oil injection intake manifold to use with the system. If you want to go back to the non-OI system just remove the tank, return to the non-OI intake manifold, and unplug and protect the electronics.

Yes. Sorry for any confusion resulting from my previous post. My point was merely to point out that this new part will be required.

The Throttle Position Sensor comes ready on the Keihin carb. It's already plugged in. Where's the plug for the oil tank. I looked but didn't see anything obvious. Need to look a little closer next time.

The intake manifold has a oil-ready plug in the 17 RE. How far back do you need to go to get a manifold without the plug? 2015? '14?

I looked closer today for the plug for the OI tank, but didn't see anything obvious. Anybody know where the oil tank plug is stored away, hidden away, factory placed at? The 17 race edition seems all plugged in ready to go minus the tank. Just need a 4 gallon tank, DOT tires, blinkers, and a plate for some cool Mexico adventures.

I'm sure you will need the CDI box as this tells the pump to start and also you will need to wire in the diode as this starts and stops the DC power to the pump. I don't think your loom has the connectors for these parts.
Hope this helps.

You might be right, but the 17 race edition is advertised as OI ready. So far I have found that the Keihin carb is pre-wired with the Throttle position sensor already plugged in. Also, the intake manifold has a plug which could be removed for the oil intake line. Just trying to determine what else is needed.

Here's a link to the Beta Europe site.

http://www.betamotor.com/en/enduro/part ... iscelatore

It show the parts included in the Oil Injection kit for the 17 race edition.

Just the tank, pump, oil lines, oil intake manifold and some fasteners. No CDI or additional wiring looms.

I checked my 17' RE loom yesterday and it does have the two plugs for the tank. It has two other wiring modules which I am guessing are the diodes or other Oi paraphernalia.
