Hey there, thanks for the advice I asked my mechanic what ratio to run the motul 800 at and he recommended 50:1.

I've run both Motul 800 and Amsoil Dominator in my 250RR at 50:1 with non-ethanol 92 octane fuel. Crisp jetting, steady idle, just the slightest tan colored ring at the outlet of the shortened FMF silencer.

I'm with darkside, maybe try the motul 710. Barely any spooge anymore and a difference you can feel in performance unless you're always on the pipe.

In my experience with the 710 in the past, there was too much smoke.
Certainly If I was in US, I would prefer TORCO GP7 (which should be more economical as well).

I use this Torco with very good results for trail riding. No smoke a very little spooge.

I also use Torco GP 7. Very low flash point with gas stabalizers in it.

Spooge from certain oils is not necessarily a bad thing. It shows that oil is migrating completely through the motor intact. It's not burning in the motor, so therefore not leaving carbon deposits behind. From my experience with Amsoil Dominator, a high flashpoint oil, PV parts and exhaust port surfaces are little more than stained, and can be cleaned with a rag after many hours of run time. Really the only negative is faster silencer packing saturation, and more so with a spark arrestor type. Longer cans like the Stealth are worse. To me this is a non-issue, I happily repack knowing that the motor is well lubed, clean, and the PV will not stick. JMO.

Update on this, I was under the gun on getting oil and the shop I went to didn't have the Motul 710 I usually run, or any Motul for that matter. I wanted to try Torco or Amsoil, but they didn't have them either.
Anyone have experience with Klotz snowmobile oil? The guy there is a veteran racer that uses it and says it's great for woods riding and hare scrambles, not for WOT riding though.
Figured I'd try it, it's pretty cheap so no big loss, but what are your thoughts on this stuff?

Probably made for injection systems on sleds. Not knowing I would not mix it too lean. Any decent modern oil is OK within reason.

I hate going to a shop for oil and getting raped by the qt. I just order Amsoil Dominator by the gallon online, at my house in a day from the local rep. Been using that stuff since it was called "Series 2000" 15 years ago. I also stop in Walmart for Rotella by the gallon for the trans. Among the best oils for the job at the cheapest price.

+1 for amsoil everyone of my riding buddies uses dominator and priced right. I love most of amsoils stuff
