Im on the 300. Turned 100 hrs today so clutch is far from new. I raced a harescramble today with mixed springs (2 stock, 2 light) and didnt have any slippage. With the mixed springs the clutch doesn't feel nearly as light, but still a little lighter than stock.

Yeah, so as I did figure. I thought the 2 ride springs were too light to really last, or beat on them in the RR. I even emailed him when I got them and asked if he had any that were in the middle of these ones and stock, as I saw that he tested 3 different stiffness of springs. He said these ones are the softest, and the tooling was too much to offer any of the other ones. It's a bit of a bummer, as I absolutely LOVE my clutch lever right now, but I know it just is too good to be true for long. It would be nice to have some middle of the road springs.

It is good to hear that running half and half worked out. I knew I keep the stock springs in my toolbag for a reason. Maybe I'll just keep 2 of them in there now though.

Sounds exactly like what I'm running on my 250RR (thanks to GP). Winter 170 main, 40 pilot, NEDH clip 3. Fall / Spring 168 main, 38 pilot, NEDW clip 3. Summer, to be determined. I have the NECW and NECH needles to play with as well.

I use the W in my 16/17/18 300's at sea level, 20 to 35deg C 165 main, going to try a 162.38 or 40 pilot. Pulls hard in the sand

Kind of a side topic, but do the Pro X 99101-357 main jets from RockyMt work just as well as the Keihin brand? Everything looked kosher, only difference it had the size stamped on the top of the hex and no other markings. My local bike shop gave me a mj with “AB 170” on the side that did not have the flat seat portion to it, so it got trashed.
