Ah, at work I couldn't see the picture so didn't even realize there was one. ;)

It's been about 15-16 years and I don't have the best memory but I know we weren't far from old sturbridge village as my wife/kids went there while I was out riding. Seems like a lot of it was army corps of engineers land or something...

hmm, wonder if you were at our local spot in Oxford, MA. that's like a ~25min drive east from Old Sturbridge and is maintained by the ACE. i've been riding there for 10 years or so, gets better every season. awesome mix of flow -> tech.

Had to be HVD...no where else close to OSV that is legal anyways.

I'll be at HVD tomorrow morning. Trail running...no motor. Booo, I know.

The oil they use when the bikes are new is really hard to remove, WD40 will get most of that off, and then Greased Lightning will make it look new again. Once all the Twin Air oil is off your back to the No Toil routine,

Really, WD40?

I'll give anything a whirl to save the filter.

This is exactly what I do but hate the smell of turps. I have some water based degreaser from Septone and I can't say enough about it. I'm trying that next time, it has no smell and washes away nice too.

Well, I think I made some improvement. I used Purple Power (knock off brand of Castrol Super Clean).

I think itso certainly safe to use once it's dry and re-oiled.

Personally I think WD40 is a lousy lubricant, it will dissolve almost anything oil based, road tar or grease globs on your car or truck from the highway spray WD40 just before you wash let it sit a few minuets and wash before it drys and everything sprays right off.
