I have had great results simply tweaking the a/s 1/8th either way to dial out an off-idle blubber. I have a 2016 Race top end on my '14 RR250.

I have heard it said many times that the Keihin's a/s likes to be set up to 1/2 turn either side of 1.5 turns out. Then jet to suit.

A quick update regarding the 300RR RE jetting.
Went riding Nov 6th. Temps were from 55-70, Alt between 4500-6000. Running 80:1 Amsoil Saber, 38 Pilot ,162 main, NECJ needle on the second step and the air screw out 2- 2-1/8. Thinking I could go down to a 35 pilot but with colder temps coming I may wait on that till spring.
As far as the ride goes, we ran a mix of terrain from slow technical to open fast runs for about 35 miles. Plug looked pretty good and spooge was minimal with single thin dribble about six inches down the silencer.

Looks good for a 4stroke, lean overall for a 2stroke, but jet by feel. Maybe the lack of oil at 80:1. Funny I run the same jetting @ 1K' but clip #3 and air screw @ 1.5. 36:1 Amsoil Dominator. FWIW very little spooge, but I have a cut down silencer.

Not trying to hijack the thread but with mention of oil and Glenn being active, I thought this a good spot to say.
While doing some oil research last week, I found out that Rotella synthetics, except for 10W-30, have an MC rating.

That's all. Back to the jetting........ BTW, I like to see a little more brown on the plug too.
