Right after I sent the last post Motion Pro called me. Nice guy and very helpful. He confirmed that the current stock cable offering for KTM and Beta (Domino fitment) does lock in place. I should've checked that before asking these questions.

And so everyone knows, they can custom make a T3 with the Lectron connector in custom lengths for $57 plus tax and shipping. They are currently on a 10 day turn around time plus shipping. If you want a standard cable (not T3) with custom length or Lectron connector it is $42.

So now we know. #Definitive

Another update. I just called Lectron and placed my order. I can't wait to be jet free.

The Motion Pro cable that came with my 2016 300RR Lectron is a 07-1357 (Cable Black Vinyl Thr. Lectron Single to Domino #2). It fit great and I ran it up the left side, which for me is a nicer arc. With the three adjustments available on the cable you can be perfect with how you like the slack. Also my cable is fitted to a G2 Throttle Tamer aluminum body.

I considered it and couldn't bring myself to let loose another $20. Should be included at the price of the carb IMO. Went this route. They are even KTM pliers

I use my index finger and my thumb to adjust the metering rod on my Lectron. It's easy if you just try. Squeeze the metering rod real tight and turn it or turn the whole slide. No tools needed.

More good info.

I ordered direct from Lectron. They offer two cable lengths. You can get +1" or +3" .
I chose +3" because I run an underbar damper.

I also elected to not purchase the meter rod adjustment tool. It doesn't seem necessary to me. The salesman said it's fine if you can't turn by hand when it's new just use pliers covered in cloth. It will loosen up after it's been adjusted a time or two and become easier.

I don't get it, what's wrong with the Keihin? both my 300's run damn near perfect with stock jetting at 1000'

I've been reading about the KTM/Husky guys spending 10k on the new bike and having to spend another $500 for the lectron. I would be upset if I HAD to spend money like that to get a new bike to run good.

The Beta seems to run so well, I can't imagine what the need for a lectron on this bike is....unless it has something to do with altitude? I know nothing on that subject....

Plus it seems like your always f'in with them anyway. Altitude management is another story so hey if it works it works. They have been around for a long time, popular on drag bikes in the past.

There is a guy in WI that makes a replacement jet block with more advanced cktry for the Keihin. He has a patent on it. 10% increase top to bottom on a YZ250 on the dyno and customer reviews to back it up. I've been in communication with him, I'll ask if there is any improvement in altitude performance. Not cheap at $350, but cheaper than a Lectron and way easier to fit.
