Just buy the several needles at once and you won't be dicking around waiting. I can't see it not working with one of these needles. Don't do the washer thing with a stock slide except for a short test. The needle must float to avoid wearing the bore of the nozzle. If the slide is modified by boring the clip recess .45mm deeper to retain float sure but with today's selection not needed.

Hey Jonno

Since you started this thread and seem to have lots of experience, what do you think of the plug?

Klotz Supertechno Plate at 50:1
50/50 gas - 91/110 race gas
38 Pilot
165 Main
stock needle 3rd position

Southern California all year long from 500ft to 7000ft last Saturday. 30 F to 100 F.

I just ordered the NECJ and NEDW. I have used the NECJ in my 09 KTM 300xc with great results.

It's fat and you can see the bean oil residue.

Yes, but smells So good :)

Do you think that the NECJ will lean it out a bit? I like running at 50:1 also. BTW, there is very little spoodge if any at all

That plug does look a bit unhappy.

I've just came back from Bike Territory where I went solo after the guy who was coming hurt himself 2 days before departure.

The bike ran very well with the NEDW, very well indeed. It's been raining fairly consistently there and last week was no exception, they had 60mm. It really made for interesting conditions, mud, rock, ruts from water run off, hills just carved to Hell.

But it was fun, I did put in a hole in my clutch cover the afternoon I got there, I stalled on a hill and was about to flip over so I decked it on its side.

But of epoxy got back in the game.

I wholeheartedly endorse Pro Taper Windham RM Mid handlebars. They were absolutely spot on like no other handlebar I have ever used. Not too high but high enough, just the right amount of sweep and I just loved how good they were.

I am shattered about a day and a half riding near non stop on rocky single trail that in some parts had a stream running down it. Add to driving nearly 600 klm home today and now unpacking and washing my poor mud caked bike.

My Clake SLR played up, if I held the clutch in too long it'd go away so I had to ride around that. Last half hour of riding my starter refused to work a couple times, I am guessing the clutch has an air bubble or the fluid is crap and the starter I will check wires and connectors.

I did the same thing last weekend. First time in 30 years I have done that.

I did the stator side of my DRZ, it was only sweating slightly so I finished the day and DEVCON'd it when I got home.

I have no idea the brand of the gear Jack the station hand used on my Beta but it held and I just now dressed the poultice he applied fairly quickly with a flap wheel on my cordless grinder to feather the edges in, I've found if you leave it lumpy it can chunk off if you bash it again. I don't have any 600 sand paper but I spritzed a bit of chassis and roll bar paint out of a rattle can on it and it looks mint!

I'll get some 600 grit tomorrow and pretty it right up*.

I will also order a new cover, 70 Australian Peso's is cheap.

And I will have a spare :)

Great Idea! I just installed a new one yesterday and paid around $50 for it. I also just installed the NECJ in the 3rd position yesterday, gonna try it out this weekend.

HTS2000 aluminum alloy brazing rod is perfect for things like that.
