Supertechniplate is a fairly dirty oil and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone riding trails. My buddy used to run it and would always foul plugs no matter how he jetted it, then switched to Amsoil Dominator and never had a problem again. Supertechniplate likes to be revved a bit more. There are a lot of good oils out there, just find something for what you do that doesn't have Castor oil in it.

Just bummed because I have been using it for years in my KTM`s, Gas Gas and now Beta. This is the first issue with it I have ever have. I never ever fouled plugs either. Oh well, I am going to Amsoil Saber from now on.

That is a bit strange since the KTM and Beta motors are pretty much the same from a design point of view. Not sure why you would be fine with it in KTM but not the Beta. Maybe you Beta is jetted too fat???

The Beta and KTM were jetted identical at 38/165. It is weird because I had the Gas Gas and KTM up in the PNW where speeds are slower than here in Southern California. Oh well, its all fixed and fired up first push of the button. I will check the compression at 5 hours and see how it looks. I can tell just by warming it up at my warehouse and riding it, it is much stronger than before. So maybe the issue was going on for a while.

I suppose another possibility is the ring groove on that particular piston was slightly out of spec on the tight size, which would allow the sticking with just a small amount of gumming.
