I just wanted to make sure you weren't on a 250 before throwing out "try this sh!t". My bet would be that you'd like one of the settings above.

I'll try these settings Wed night and report back, I suppose there is no harm in trying richer settings!

installed 40p, 168m, n2zj in the 3rd, AS 1.5

ran it down the road and it felt fine, given the lean ping I was getting hopefully this will be a bit richer for the upcoming 200 mile dual sport ride this weekend.

Do you know what elevations and temps you're going to be racing in?

Hi All , Just got a new 2018 300RR i get the pink or knock after acceleration with the throttle closed , bike runs great apart from that Its like a lean spot to me , pull the choke on and off quick and it gets rid of the noise ?? I am In the UK , Any suggestions where to start ?

This is what I used to tune my carb. By far the best:

Page 4: pinging due to lean condition

It still happens to me sometimes. Some other thoughts I have are: If you are engine braking, it will happen. I think it is unavoidable. Always clutch in after letting the throttle go. If you are running at a constant throttle or increase throttle and it happens, then richen your jetting for the throttle position it is happening at by referring to the link above. Another observation is that installing new exhaust gaskets seemed to make it better.

If you find or learn anything else, pass it along.

How do you like the 2018???

Update : Bike has gone back to dealer to try and sort out . They have the benefit of having a new 2018 to swop parts onto mine , They have sent a video to the beta factory in Italy of the problem . We wait in anticipation to see the outcome .

Wow. It must have been really bad if the dealer is scratching their head.
