2018 300rr knocking noise

Are you describing pipe bang or a knock? A knock would occur under the first set of circumstances you described like riding under heavy load uphill at low rpm (could happen at high rpm, but would be harder to hear). Pipe bang would be more of an explosive sound coming from your expansion chamber. If it happens after reving in neutral I would suspect pipe bang, which is pretty normal.

It’s happened in both instances. So I’m not sure to be honest. Could be pipe bang, but the dealer seems a little concerned about it which has me concerned. Like I said this is my first two stroke, and first beta. So I’m not sure what’s normal here and what’s not. I did pop my radiator cap off last night to see if it had any pressure on it. It didn’t spew out when I popped the cap, but it made a sound like it either had pressure or was in a vacuum? I also looked at the cylinder where the pipe goes in and is held by the springs. It isn’t black and goopy, but it has some dirt stuck around the joint like it may have been damp and caused the dirt to stick. I’m just gonna ride it for now and see if it gets better or worse. It’s under warranty so if it grenades they can fix it. Lol

Mine did this with the S3 head installed. Could only get rid of it by running 50/50 Race/Pump gas. This was just off idle knocking on acceleration and deceleration. Everywhere else it was fine. I maintain that the stock Beta ignition does not have enough ignition advance in off idle area. Any increase in compression or slight drop in quality of gas can cause this. I dumped the S3 head and had RB Design cut my stock head. This works much better however when worked hard in sand I can get it to return. I don't like the idea of having my boonie bike reliant on race gas.
