Changing to a #4 slide affected a broader range than I was expecting and did not like it. To tune it in after the change, I would have needed to go to the next larger diameter needle...essentially downgrading horsepower. Back to the #7

Talked to my local dealer. With the hotter temps he suggested switching from a BR7ES to a BR8ES. Makes sense, kind of a trick f@ck, but with temps being in the 90's now the bike is starting to pre-ignite so the BR8ES should fix this.

Success!
90 degF day @ 1200’
Tried NEDJ clip 3 and “the spot” still happened.
Then NEDJ clip 4 and it was worse.
Then NECJ clip 2 and it was smooth as silk doing a WOT on forest road even after a mid 2nd gear ride.

So yeah, motosupply.com jetting chart...or jetting chart out of the 2019 300 owners manual is good. Not at all what I expected

BR7ES
38pj, AS 1-1/2 turns out
168 mj
PV at 1.5 turns in from flush
most current comp test (30 hours ago): 180psig at 70degF outside (float bowl drained)
