IIRC, the beta USA website lists the 300 spark plug as the BR7ES...but the owners manual lists BPR7ES. I believe I ordered the BR7ES from Rocky Mountain and just verified on the Beta website. When I went to install and noticed the difference, I was a bit hesitant...and now like it more than the projected insulator

Edit:
On a side note: the knock I was experiencing felt like a misfire jerk and sounded like a knock/clunk. There should be some kind of urban dictionary for these terms...because I’m sure I’ve dicked them up now and again

Now that you mentioned it, i've felt the "misfire jerk" that you mention. Does not happen often at all, but i've had it happen a few times that I can remember.

I've got the bike torn apart now for cleaning, jetting changes, and a new intake boot that removes the oil injection nipple. I'll report back after jetting changes and test riding :)

Preaching to the choir, but wherever you feel that in your throttle range...fattening it up eliminates it.

Not sure this will be helpful to you but my 250RR runs very well with the Suzuki needle. I don't have any of the issues brought up in this string. You mentioned somewhere that your idle speed increased. That could indicate an air leak, possibly from a bottom end crank seal. If the problem persists or increases you might check it out.
Just rambling thoughts here...did the condition exist before the Oil Injection was eliminated? The OI systems regulates oil input between 100:1 at idle to 32:1 at WOT, but now you're running a consistent ratio. Is there any difference in any of the ignition parts from a Race model (no OI) and a RR?

old thread i know, but is it even possible to get knocking or pinging at low load? Unless you had really bad fuel? It would have to be so lean that it would likely not even run. Lots of Beta's get pipe-bang, esp when cold - and when cold outside (until things get hot!)
