Air box wash covers

Hi, anyone know where we can get Airbox wash covers in the UK without spending £35 with Lampkin for one

I have the Twinair part number somewhere. I'm away on holiday at the moment but will be home at the weekend so I shall look it out for you. Try Apico in the meantime. I have bought air filters from my wholesaler so I should be able to get the cover as well.

Whereabouts are you?

I have the Twinair cover also. Expensive from Beta USA for a thin vacuum formed piece of plastic! I'd try the KTM one to see if it fits, looks close. FWIW, mine seals fine but I still don't trust it 100%. I stuff a clean rag tight in the airboot behind it. My friend wrecked a KTM lower end when his leaked unknowingly and he didn't attempt to start the bike after washing.

Thanks for that info. I have a KTM one from my last bike and will offer it up against the Beta filter frame.

I agree about the poor sealing. I made a gasket for the KTM one from old inner tube rubber after filling the carb a few times.

I had thought about fitting a cheap elasticated hotel shower cap over the filter frame but I haven't tried it. Might work and you should be able to see through it if it didn't.

I wrap the filter frame in nylon. It works when you're in a pinch.
It's silly how much they're charging for that plastic cover. I haven't seen it for less then ±30$

Off Road Only in Llandrindod Wells have them for £16.36 + VAT. Their website is www.oro2u.com.

Not sure if they have stock but you could get one when you go down to the Welsh as they are only down the road from the start at the Lakeside.

Another thing for you guys in wet areas, be carefull of that airbox drain duckbill valve or whatever you want to call it. It clogs with mud very easy. If you wash the bike after a muddy ride with the filter in place and its clogged you risk flooding the airbox and then the motor. My buddy did this to his GasGas that uses the same goofy part. I cut mine back a bit but it still clogged so I just pulled it out.
