KTM 300 JD needles in 300RR

Postby KTM300 » Sat Apr 06, 2019 9:27 am

I just picked up a 2018 300RR. Coming off a 2007 KTM 300 XC-W. I have a JD jet kit for the KTM and am wondering if the needles would be the same or similar to the ones in a Beta JD jet kit, since they use similar carbs.

I replied to your ? in TT, here is what was said:

Not sure where you are located in MT, but I was able to re-jet my 2014 using the Beta jetting tables and needles. I'm not a fan of the JD jetting due to having purchased a kit for one of my YZ 250 2 strokes back in the day and not getting the results I wanted. But you could just pull the carb down and compare the needles, I would think the difference would be slight. There is a lot of discussion on TT and betariders.org on jetting; a lot of riders prefer the Suzuki needles from the late model 2 stroke, I have been happy with mine and too lazy to experiment further.
