Received my Suzuki needle yesterday and promptly installed the needle and changed the main jet from 165 to 162. I already had the 38 pilot at 2 turns and WOW!!! Just in the front yard without hitting trails I think I will really like this set up. Really smooth power off idle and clean running. It will be a couple of weeks before I can hit the trails but I can lay awake at night dreaming of the excellent power delivery coming up!!

You can also try going out on the PV a little more now. I also use a G2 throttle with a #200 cam. Completely seamless transition now.

Get the NEDJ (half clip richer), NECW (one dia richer), and NEDW (half clip and one dia richer). Since the NECJ is a little leaner than stock you might need these to retune for the inevitable return of cold weather. These needles, due to the profile seem to like to run in the middle clip position and a full clip change is often too much. Even with the N2Z* stock needles my bike likes the W dia in fall as per the chart.

Just saw this post and thought it might help many with the dribbling fuel from the carb. If the picture shows up the fuel over flow from the carb is looped and prevents the fuel from spilling onto the ground. I think I will try it.

I tried this on my bike this weekend and it really helped the fuel mileage. Great idea.

Or you can just adjust your float level a little lower.

Just did a 60 mile loop with the stock 2.5 gallon tank. The lower lobes of the stock tank are still full of fuel. Not sure how much fuel that is but I must be getting at least 30 mpg.

I adjusted my float lower, NECJ needle on #3 and the loop on the float b owl overflow and got right at 30 MPG. Totally happy!

Mezcal

Above is the method for routing the float bowl overflow hose. I think this helped my fuel mileage the most. Besides the awesome NECJ needle.

Thanks TJ, I just found this!
I too installed the NECJ on #3 and stuck in a 162 main, just riding around the yard it feels much smoother coming off idle. I have only had fuel dribble out of the overflow once, when I leaned the bike right over. So I think I will re route some hoses like the pic you mentioned.
Fuel consumption before these changes was 77km (48 miles) on 6.2l, leaving 3.3l, so it was pretty good. This weekend I will test consumption against the old set up.
The 162 I stuck in it was from another bike, and it was marked 162S. A quick google search says the "S" may just mean Standard.. It came out of an 05 WR 450. Seems to work fine but this weekend will tell!
