Yes at my altitude I went the other way. I now have the NECK running in my KTM 300SX with good result.

My Beta is running fine as per the jetting chart. Haven't felt the need to go to the Suzuki needle on the Beta.

Looks like Rocky Mtn had stock on all of them I used the 2001 RM 250 and the K6 carb. I'll give it a try this week end and post the results.

So these are the secret Suzuki needles that DB magazine refers to in this months article on the KTM 300 project?

Stock main is 165. You typically drop the main when switching to the NE** needles because the taper profile makes for a more narrow(richer) tip. I have no idea about what DB said I stopped spending on and reading that junk a long time ago.

Hammer, you were exactly right about that. Bike runs amazingly well with the NECJ #3, 162 Main, 35 pilot. Gas mileage has improved significantly and the motor is electric. Best $11 dollars I've spent in awhile.

Good stuff. It's amazing the change you can make with the correct jetting.

Thanks to GMP and Hammer too! I installed the 162 MJ and NECJ needle @ pos 3 and the bike runs much better. Just curious, looking for ballpark starting poing. What are folks around sea level are setting the AS at? I'm at 2 to 2.25 turns out right now.
