There are so many variables that can effect this that you can't really say. What I can say is start at 1.5 turns out and adjust from there.

I was able to do a little testing this AM. Low 40s. Jetting per chart seems just about right on, so all
is good.

GMP, you are in Jersey right? So elevation just a little over sea level?

I live in the northwest corner at about 1000'. Racing in the south of the state tomorrow at sea level. Usually makes no difference, except sometimes the southern NJ courses have some sand (higher loads). The bike ran real strong, no lean symptoms, and the plug looked perfect. Got a good idle and excellent response with the stock 35 pilot and air screw 1 turn out, which surprised me a little. I guess the W dia needle overlaps enough to make it work. So the point is the chart appears accurate from my limited use.

Rode an enduro in Indiana today, and for anybody that's been there this time of year you know that means everything from greasy, snotty clay that requires perfect roll-on to power-sucking just-harvested corn and bean fields that tend to be fifth and sixth gear pinned.

I used to jetting chart as a starting point and added a turn of airscrew to account for the extreme humidity (on the verge of freezing rain most of the day). The result was solid power with no knocking/pinging/run-on issues, and no splooge either.

Seems like Beta did a decent job of this as well.

(if you're looking for the Beta jetting specs, it's on the 5th message on this thread)

"Hammer Run" dual sport (yeah right) in south NJ today, did 90 miles of mostly fast sandy trails, fire cuts, and woods roads. From tight deep sand turns to 6th pinned roads (crap is the bike fast!) Sea Level and low 40s in the AM. Went richer yet per chart, 170 main and 38 pilot with air screw at about 1 1/4. Perfect, and fuel consumption not bad. Never touched the clip position, just the straight dia from summer specs, which sounded odd to me and why I questioned this chart. It works.
