Mystery wire behind headlight (2015 Beta 250 Race)

Postby EZZA » Thu Nov 15, 2018 2:49 am

Hi guys, have just bought my first Beta and am trying to figure out wiring the lights etc back up as the previous owner has hacked some of it out.
Anybody know what this wire connects to?

Looks like multiple wires inside of a protective sleeve terminated at a 2 pole slide switch. My guess is either headlight or turn signal switch broken off from the left bar switch assembly. How many wires inside the sleeve and what color?

Flux capacitor. When you hit 88mph, hang on!

JK, as wwguy says, looks like it's likely an internal part of the turn signal switch.

Impossible!! I replaced the flux capacitor when I replaced the powerband last weekend ;)

Thanks for the responses guys, I'll have a look at wire color tonight but my guess is it may be the map switch wire. Is my bike supposed to have a map switch?
