Persistent Wiring Starter Issue on 16BetaRE

Hi Beta Motorcycle Racing community,

I've been grappling with a wiring electric starter issue on my 16BetaRE on and off for a year. Chasing the problem. Recently, I changed the relay, and it seemed to work fine for a while. when I touch the relay with a screwdriver across the terminals, the bike starts right up. However, the start button stopped working again after a brief period of functionality.

Additionally, I found a 25v 4700uF capacitor under the headlight mask in the picture with a broken lead, but the bike seemed to operate without any issues even without it. Can anyone shed light on what this capacitor might be for? Your insights would be greatly appreciated!
