I went for a Shorai lithium battery as part of trying to fix the crappy starter on my previous KTM and transferred it over to the Beta. It weighs the same as a feather and has so much more more power. I would need to check the number but I just went for the highest power rating in the same size case as the original. They also do them with the + and - terminals left or right as part of the model number.

I am using the LFX09L2-BS12 (MSRP: $114.95) in my 300RR and in my big thumpers and they have worked better than any conventional lead acid battery. Super fast starts and won't cook cables if discharged overcranking ( can't say what starter will look like though) ....but you will need a battery charger that is specific to the Shorai battery SHO-BMS01 MSRP: $84.95 if you need to charge over long downtime... if it draws at all. Or just ride all the time and forget the charger!!! :D super light and dependable IMO, hope it helps

Hi!
As my abilities in mechanic are almost none, I want to make sure the battery I choose will not damage my new 300 X Trainer 2016.Or another lightweight battery with supplier reference. I like the 4 Cell 12 Volts at 0.8 pound!!!
I am looking for a lightweight battery.
Would a 4 Cell / 12 Volts 2.3 Ah Motorsport Battery work for my Beta X Trainer 2016 or if I need an 8 Cell / 12 Volts 4.6 Ah Motosport Battery?
This is to ride my 300X Trainer "off trail" only.
Thanks
